MP for Sittingbourne & Sheppey Gordon Henderson is currently recovering from a serious accident so was not able to attend the meeting of Upchurch Parish Council on Thursday the 4th of August, however, his constituency manager, Councillor Mike Whiting fed back the strength of feeling against a planning application for residential development on land off Forge Lane in the village.
Mr Henderson has sent the above letter of objection to Swale Borough Council, on the grounds that the land is not allocated for housing in either the current Local Plan or emerging Local Plan, Bearing Fruits.
